Performance Lectures at Compton Verney

Performance Lectures at Compton Verney

I delivered two performance lectures at Compton Verney as part of my exhibition, Liquid Silver.

In collaboration with audio-visual artist Leon Trimble, we performed the sounds of the magneto, inspired by George Shaw's colleague Benjamin James Pratt Marrian and his experiments on the sonorous qualities of the magneto. This performance formed part of Compton Verney’s lates programme, which opens up the galleries after hours.

On another occasion, I delivered a performance lecture in the historic chapel space on the watery, liquid processes of early photography, live mixing chemicals and articulating the feelings of working with historical photographic materials in the landscape whilst making “Raft”.
