Making new portraits in Compton Verney's chapel

I demonstrated the ambrotype process from 1851 in Compton Verney's historic chapel in late 2024. This was an opportunity for a hands-on experience of the photographic processes at work in my exhibition. Challenging weather conditions with a dark sky made for long exposure times and atmospheric portraits. The atmosphere was further enhanced by the wonderful 17th Century choral singing of Jonathan from the balcony space.
