PHRC Conference 2023, Photography In Its Environment

I enjoyed presenting my research to the Photographic History Research Centre's annual conference for 2023, 'Photography in its Environment'. My paper on 'Photography in the Industrial Environment of 1840s Birmingham' addressed the importance of industrial developments in 1840s Birmingham to photography. I presented my new findings that about an important outsize daguerreotype portait in the collection of National Museum of Science and Industry.
