Liquid Silver opens at Compton Verney
My exhibition, Liquid Silver, has opened at Compton Verney gallery in Warwickshire and runs from 23rd October 2023 - 11th February 2024.
The exhibition includes an installation of large scale glass plate portraits co-created with residents of Nuneaton and Bedworth at Nuneaton Library, alongside new work made in the lake at the site.
The new commissions are informed by my historical research into silver and electroplate and are accompanied by three original daguerreotypes by George Shaw (1818-1904) that are previously unseen. My re-creations of these daguerreotypes made using congruent materials and processes sit alongside Shaw’s historic examples.
